Amitabh Bachchan is one of India’s top movie actor, TV host, movie director, backstage singer, and former politician and born on the 11th of October in the year 1942. His father [ Harivansh Rai Bachchan] was a poet, he used to compose Hindu poems while his mother [Teji Bachchan] was a human activist and also a politician. Amitabh married Jaya Bachchan in 1973 and both were blessed with two kids; Abhishek Bachchan who is an actor and movie producer and Shweta Bachchan Nanda who is a journalist and author.

Bachchan attended Sherwood College before he graduated with a bachelor arts degree from Delhi University. He got a job as a freight broker in Calcutta city but later quit and headed to Bombay to try on acting.

Bachchan started acting in the year 1969 in the movie Bhuvan Shome where he was a voice narrator. Later on, in the year 1970, he rose to stardom after acting and featuring in a lot of action and series movies. His followers and audience branded him “angry young man” for his screen roles. Bachchan has numerous movie awards under his name, with 15 fanfare awards. He has appeared in more than a hundred movies for instance; The action thriller film [Zanjeer] made him popular and widely known. other movies such as; [ Laawaris], the movie [coolie], [Silsila], the action movie [Shaarabi] and the movie [Jaaduagr] gave him a lot of accolades and made him more popular in India and worldwide. He has directed and produced many movies such as; [ sholay], [ Buddor], [ Trishul] and he has worked with other famous producers like [ Prakash Mehra]. Other times during acting, Bachchan was required to sing.
Bachchan had a horrific accident in 1982, he experienced serious injuries but after prayers from his fans, he was able to recover though this made him change careers. He contested in a parliamentary seat in the year 1984, since he was liked and he had won the heart of many India people, he won the elections. Later on, in the year 1987, he stepped down from the parliamentary seat after some controversies emerged.
Bachchan later on in the year 1990, returned back to the entertainment industry this time starting a commercial enterprise company widely known as Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited. He was once more back to the limelight. He has helped the government of India raise media awareness, like when he was urging parents to take their children to medical centers for vaccination. A lot of polio and other deadly ailments was highly reported.
