iRiver D25 Looks Like Laptop, But is only MP3 Player

By Richard Menta 3/17/07

No, as far as I know iRiver has not released a new laptop, nor did the company say the new iRiver D25 is a PMP unit. The D25 is just an MP3 player, an audio only device with a QWERTY keyboard player presumably to allow the user to search and rename song files stored inside of it.

The unit's clamshell design includes a large 4.3" LCD display, suspiciously big for an audio-only unit. The D25 sports a 5.3 x 3.7 x 0.8 inch waistline and it comes with a 1.3GB flash card tucked inside the D25's SD slot. The player is to hit the Korean market this week for healthy $400, but the unit's price should drop dramatically once it makes it here to the states.
