SanDisk Sansa c200 MP3 Player

By Richard Menta 9/3/06

Sansa turned up the heat on the iPod nation when it released the 6GB and then later the 8GB versions of its e200 series. To round out the line they have now introduced a new player for the one to two gigabyte space.

The Sansa c200 comes in a 1.3" x 3.1" x .6", which pits it well against the iPod nano's longer, but thinner 3.5" x 1.6" x 0.27 shell. The c200 weighs in at 1.5 oz with a 1.4" LCD display and an SD slot to expand the memory. The SanDisk c200 handles MP3 and WMA files including PlaysForSure and the company claims 15 hours of battery life per charge.

The Sansa c200 will ship this October at a very competitive $99 for the 2GB model and $79 for the 1GB.
