iPod Shuffle Updated

By Richard Menta 9/13/06

Here is an interesting surprise. Everyone assumed that the 1GB iPod nano would replace the screenless iPod Shuffle. I guess Apple figured there is a sizeable market of folk who only want simplicity and the Shuffle is indeed that.

The most noticeable difference is that Apple has rendered the Shuffle into a simple belt clip. At a tiny 1.6" square the unit is as basic as they come. Like its bretheren its made of aluminum and this matchbook player comes in just one version, a 1GB unit for $79.
